The provides a holistic set of performance indicators designed to resonate with a wide range of stakeholders. Organized into four pillars, the framework is globally relevant yet flexible enough to be tailored to the specific needs of different landscapes. The assessment team can further customize the assessment scope by adding customized goals, indicators, and metrics as needed.

This section outlines the process and requirements for selecting indicators, metrics, and associated data, applicable to all Validated by LandScale users. The Powered by LandScale experience offers greater flexibility in using the and does not have specific indicator selection requirements. Nevertheless, Powered by LandScale users are strongly encouraged to follow the same indicator selection process and assessment scope that holistically reflects landscape sustainability. More information on both plans—Validated by LandScale and Powered by LandScale—can be found on our .

By default, we recommend that you complete a holistic LandScale assessment, encompassing all core indicators.

Note that the workflow is structured to allow you to select indicators and their associated metrics simultaneously. This means you can select an indicator, choose which metrics you want to measure for that indicator, select the data resources you will be using, and then proceed to the next indicator. For simplicity, the guidelines separate the steps into three sections:
