## LandScale assessment framework (version 1.0)

*Last updated: October 2021*

The LandScale assessment framework—developed through two years of field testing and extensive consultation—provides a common language for assessing landscape sustainability. The most up-to-date version (1.1) is available in the [LandScale assessment framework section](/assessment-guidelines/get-started/introduction-to-the-landscale-system/landscale-assessment-framework.md).

The version below, along with the translated copies, does not reflect the updated indicator and metric categorizations introduced in the 2025 refresh. However, it can be cross-referenced with version 1.1.
